The successful candidate:

  • ***Shift: 8AM-4:30PM M-F***

  • Under the supervision of the RN/Oncology Clinic Director the Connections Coordinator will provide support to patients, caregivers, physicians, and other clinical service departments. This position will assist the Clinic Team with the management of patient caseloads by providing prompt response to telephone inquiries, as well as, implementing and assisting with direct patient care. This may include, but not limited to routine clerical and administrative tasks, such as: patient document coordination completion of FMLA/Disability/patient letters, records processing. The Connections Coordinator promotes teamwork, and nurtures relationships with others.

  • Communicates clearly, concisely, and courteously in a timely manner. Demonstrates professional behavior and appearance, respect for patient privacy and confidentiality in all contacts with patient, caregivers, vendors, and stakeholders. This position utilizes specialized knowledge, judgment, and skills to provide an excellent patient

    experience.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: One year within the last three years in a comparable job classification.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent -AND- one of the following:

  • Completion of an approved Medical Assistant (MA) Training Program (in accordance with Arizona State R4-16-101 accrediting regulations);

OR

  • Completion of an unapproved medical assistant training program and passage of the medical assistant examination administered by a certifying organization accredited by either the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or the American Medical Technologists National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI).

OR

Completion of a United States Armed Forces medical services training program.

Certification: If a graduate of an unapproved program, Medical Assistant Certification from either the American Association of Medical

Assistants (AAMA) or the American Medical Technologists National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or the American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

OR

  • Graduate under an approved training program identified in R4-16-101 when certificate was awarded.
