The successful candidate:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Laboratory Services, provide clerical and administrative assistance for pathology department. The clerical pathology coordinator will assist the pathologist and the medical technologists with pathology processing to include accessioning of samples, work in the Epic or LIS system for specimen data entry. Scan outside results into Epic, receive and return slide review cases to include documentation in LIS journal and slide preparation for pathologist review. Ability to request specimens from other facilities are required. Ability to send specimens to reference laboratories for further testing following proper billing procedures are required. Ability to assist in the clinical lab with specimen processing as needed.
