The successful candidate:
Under the general supervision of the Director of the Laboratory, the Medical Technologist performs a variety of routine and complex laboratory tests on body fluids and substances, requiring independent judgment, with speed and accuracy. The efforts of the individual(s) in this position, in collaboration with other health care professionals, provide data for the most accurate diagnosis or individual treatment of diseases for optimum patient outcomes.
- Requires Degree in Medical Technology or MLT certification
- Certification required (ASCP, AMT or AAB) or eligible to take exam. Must successfully complete certification (ASCP, AMT or AAB) within 18 months of completed graduation from an accredited college or university.
- Prefer a minimum of 2 years hospital or clinic experience
