Join the transformative team at City of Hope, where we're changing lives and making a real difference in the fight against cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses. City of Hope’s growing national system includes its Los Angeles campus, a network of clinical care locations across Southern California, a new cancer center in Orange County, California, and treatment facilities in Atlanta, Chicago and Phoenix. Our dedicated and compassionate employees are driven by a common mission: To deliver the cures of tomorrow to the people who need them today.

The Vice President of Infrastructure & Cloud Services provides the strategic vision and technical leadership required to modernize, secure, and operate a high-performing hybrid-cloud infrastructure foundation. This leader is responsible for designing and delivering a resilient, scalable, cost-optimized, and secure technology environment that powers clinical operations, research, digital experiences, AI/ML platforms, and enterprise systems.

The VP leads infrastructure strategy and execution across data centers, networks, cloud platforms, compute, storage, virtualization, disaster recovery, identity management, collaboration tools, and end-user technologies. This role drives the transition from traditional on-premise environments to modern cloud and platform services—leveraging automation, Zero Trust principles, observability, and next-generation operations to improve reliability, agility, and security.

The leader partners closely with product, security, product engineering, AI, architecture, clinical, business, and research stakeholders to support mission-critical workloads, ensure operational excellence, and enable strategic transformation.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Provide leadership for enterprise infrastructure strategy, multi-year modernization planning, cloud transformation, and lifecycle management to ensure secure, scalable, high-availability environments that support patient care, research, and business growth.

  • Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of hybrid-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, GCP, SaaS platforms), promoting automation, observability, infrastructure-as-code, and cost governance.

  • Direct modern data center operations, including compute, storage, backup/restore, colocation, virtualization, and performance optimization.

  • Oversee enterprise networking, including SD-WAN, wireless, segmentation, load balancing, firewalls, VPN, and Zero Trust–aligned architecture.

  • Drive modernization of identity and access management, authentication strategies, privileged access, and directory services in partnership with cybersecurity teams.

  • Lead disaster recovery, business continuity planning, and high-availability engineering for mission-critical systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and resiliency

  • Oversees enterprise collaboration platforms, unified communications, end-user computing, device management, and service desk modernization to deliver a seamless user experience.
