Position Summary
The Food Service Worker II plays a key role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for patients, visitors, and staff. This position supports food preparation, meal assembly, service, sanitation, and customer interaction across various food service areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble patient meal trays by reading menu cards, portioning food, and ensuring accuracy.
- Set up and restock stations with entrées, soups, salads, beverages, and service ware.
- Serve and replenish food from counters and steam tables; brew coffee and tea.
- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, dining areas, and dishware.
- Operate a cash register, process payments, issue receipts, and follow cash‑handling procedures.
- Assist patients with meal selections and input meal orders.
- Provide friendly, high‑quality service in dining and retail areas.
- Follow all safety, sanitation, infection control, and compliance guidelines.
- Participate in required training and maintain confidentiality and integrity.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2–3 years of work experience; food service or cash‑handling experience preferred.
- Required Certification: Valid Food Handlers Card.
- Preferred Certification: Food Safety certification as required by state law.
