Hybrid Work Schedule Approx. 2 days onsite on average. Base on the need of the project. 

As a successful candidate, you will:

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading multiple projects and initiatives, including strategic initiatives, continuous improvement initiatives, and general efficiency projects in a cross-functional environment using established project management and continuous improvement frameworks from inception to implementation.  This role serves as a senior individual contributor on the Performance Excellence team and partners closely with operational, clinical, and administrative leaders to improve performance, streamline processes, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Working on mostly clinical and operations type projects.

Supports the business unit(s) in all phases of the Project Life Cycle for small to large projects, including intake, scoping, business case development, stakeholder alignment, execution, change management, and post-implementation support. Ensures all projects are properly defined, approved, planned, documented, resourced, scheduled, monitored, and completed in alignment with organizational priorities.

In addition, this role contributes to the development of performance metrics, dashboards, service level expectations, and monitoring mechanisms to track outcomes and ensure accountability. May support training, standard work development, policy and procedure analysis, and knowledge transfer to ensure improvements are sustained over time.

The scope of responsibility includes managing complex initiatives with broad organizational impact, facilitating executive-level discussions, supporting operational leaders with data-driven insights, and mentoring Project Managers through coaching, best-practice sharing, and escalation support. The Senior Project Manager helps bridge strategic intent and tactical execution while reinforcing a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Continuous Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Leads continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational efficiency, quality, service, cost, capacity, and throughput.

  • Applies Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methodologies to identify root causes and design sustainable solutions.

  • Develops future-state workflows, standard work, and performance expectations.

  • Partners with operational and clinical leaders to implement improvements and embed changes into daily operations.

  • Supports change management activities to drive adoption and long-term sustainability.

  • Establishes performance metrics, dashboards, and monitoring mechanisms to track outcomes.

  • Conducts post-implementation evaluations to validate results and identify additional improvement opportunities.

  • Reinforces a culture of continuous improvement through modeling best practices and disciplined execution.

Project & Initiative Management

  • Leads all phases of assigned projects and improvement initiatives, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.

  • Develops, maintains, and actively manages integrated project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.

  • Manages scope, risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes.

  • Coordinates and leads cross-functional project teams, including internal resources.

  • Monitors project performance, quality, resource utilization, and outcome achievement.

  • Chairs project meetings, steering committee updates, and post-implementation reviews.

  • Communicates project status, risks, and outcomes clearly to stakeholders and leadership.

  • Applies standardized project management tools, methodologies, and best practices to increase delivery success.

Project & Initiative Intake, Analysis, and Solution Design

  • Clarifies, rationalizes, and documents project and improvement requests across operational, clinical, and administrative functions.

  • Partners with leaders to define problem statements, objectives, scope, success metrics, and constraints.

  • Leads current-state assessments using data analysis, process mapping, and stakeholder interviews.

  • Identifies improvement opportunities, risks, dependencies, and interrelationships across functions.

  • Leads development of business cases, project charters, benefits realization plans, ROI, and value assessments.

  • Facilitates structured planning sessions, workshops, and working sessions with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Ensures appropriate leadership and subject matter expert engagement throughout initiative definition and prioritization.

  • Supports fiscal planning and resource estimation activities for assigned initiatives.

Stakeholder Enablement, Training, & Knowledge Transfer

  • Prepares and reviews project documentation, standard work, training materials, and implantation guides

  • Facilitates training sessions, workshops, and knowledge transfer activities for stakeholders and end users

  • Serves as a liaison between operational teams, leadership, and support teams

  • Provides coaching and guidance to Project Managers on project delivery, problem-solving, and continuous improvement best-practices.

  • Promotes consistent use of best practices, tools, and standards across initiatives

  • Engages all relevant participants in change management activities, where appropriate.

  • Other duties as applied.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor's Degree - in business administration, public or government administration, finance, healthcare administration or related field. 3 additional years of experience plus the minimum experience plus the minimum experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.

  • 5+ years professional project management experience
