The Beckman Research Institute of City of Hope invites applications for a talented Postdoctoral Fellow to join our dynamic research team. As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you'll have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that contribute to the advancement of medical science and have a direct impact on patient outcomes.

** This is a Fully Remote Opportunity within the United States**

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Lead and support foundational research for the development of multimodal large language models and agentic workflows, focusing on the integration of clinical, textual, imaging, and other heterogeneous data modalities to advance AI methodologies in translational research.

  • Design, implement, and rigorously evaluate novel machine learning and AI approaches through wellcontrolled experiments, benchmarking, and validation studies.

  • Generate highquality scientific outputs, including firstauthor and collaborative manuscripts, conference abstracts, and presentations that disseminate findings to the broader research community.

  • Translate research innovations into reusable methods and evidence that strengthen the scalability, credibility, and longterm impact of multi-modal AI platforms across clinical and research programs.

  • Collaborate closely with applied data science, engineering, and clinical stakeholders to ensure research efforts complement productionfocused deployment and operational teams.

  • Contribute to institutional and systemlevel priorities by advancing enterprisesponsored AI platforms, enhancing City of Hopes national visibility, and reinforcing leadership in AIenabled translational research.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include: 

  • Ph.D. degree in a related discipline is required.

  • Proven track record of successful research projects and publications.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
