The successful candidate:

Facilitates timely and positive resolution of patient/family concerns.  Identifies specific trends in patient feedback and makes recommendations for improvement in patient care delivery. Enhances guest experience, supports fellow stakeholders in a team environment and demonstrates the Values of City of Hope.  Represents the Guest Services department and City of Hope upholding the Mission, Vision, Values, Promise, Stakeholder Bond and Service Standards of the organization to deliver the Mother Standard© of care and maintain the City of Hope brand.  Effectively communicates with patients, caregivers, stakeholders and vendors to ensure that guests’ expectations are not only met but exceeded.

Education/Experience Level

  • Associate's degree required, bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum two years' experience in healthcare or customer service-related field preferred
  • Patient Advocate experience strongly preferred

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of medical terminology a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft office products
  • Excellent organization, creativity, latitude, independent thinking, personal judgment, and problem-solving skills
  • ​Relationship building across all levels
