An Administrative Clinical Research Programs Manager is available within the Cherng Family Center for Integrative Oncology.  You will provide programmatic management for the development of assigned programs and multi-site clinical and translational research operations for the Cherng Center. You will provide leadership to the organization to develop research programmatic infrastructure, operational workflows and approval processes, direct institutional use of the Research Core services or research study, financial, or research administration resources.

This position works closely with Cherng Center Research Director, leaders and staff to support and advance the mission of the Center, has a high level of autonomy, collaborates with contributors across the organization (research, administrative, medical, and support personnel), and is a key position in the Program. This role requires excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, self-motivation and creativity. Serves as a primary point of contact/information for the Program and outside constituents, including external partner institutions and regulatory bodies.

As a successful candidate, you will:

·         Lead and oversee clinical research operations, serving as the primary liaison among investigators, research support offices, regulatory bodies, and external collaborators to ensure efficient study activation, compliance, and execution.

·         Manage all aspects of research administration, including IRB strategy, protocol development, regulatory oversight, participant enrollment, quality assurance, and compliance across basic, clinical, and translational research studies.

·         Provide pre-award and post-award research support by coordinating grant and protocol submissions, ensuring regulatory compliance, facilitating proposal development, and assisting faculty with scholarly activities, publications, and scientific presentations.

·         Develop and implement operational workflows, standard operating procedures, data management systems, and quality monitoring processes to improve research efficiency, data integrity, and audit readiness.

·         Oversee program strategy, performance reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives by tracking key metrics, conducting analyses, preparing leadership reports, and supporting strategic planning, growth, and resource allocation.

·         Recruit, develop, and supervise research and administrative staff, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture through training, mentorship, performance management, and professional development opportunities.

·         Manage program budgets and financial performance, collaborating with institutional leaders to develop budgets, monitor expenditures, and support grant and operational planning.

·         Support program visibility and sustainability by partnering with philanthropy, marketing, and communications teams to develop donor materials, promote program achievements, maintain digital content, and coordinate educational and outreach initiatives.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

·         Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in solid tumor clinical research administration can be substituted.  Masters degree preferred.

·         5+ years progressively responsible for business management, project and program management within an academic or research environment including experience in budget development and management.

·         3 years of experience in a leadership capacity.

·         Preferred 8+ years clinical research administration experience including managing pre-award process of grant and protocol proposals for multiple projects in the solid tumor area.

·         Knowledge about federal grant application, processing and management is preferred.
