City of Hope is seeking an experienced and strategic healthcare leader to serve as our Manager, Community Practice Quality & Patient Safety. In this highly visible leadership role, you will champion quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across our growing community practice network. Working collaboratively with executive leadership, physicians, and operational teams, you will help advance a culture of clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, evidence-based practice, and exceptional patient care. This is a unique opportunity to influence enterprise-wide quality strategies while driving meaningful improvements that directly impact patient outcomes.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Lead quality improvement and patient safety programs across City of Hope community practice locations.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate strategies that foster a culture of quality, safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with clinical and operational leaders to align quality initiatives with organizational goals and national patient safety standards.
- Serve as the key liaison with regulatory agencies and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable accreditation, licensing, and regulatory requirements.
- Facilitate root cause analyses, patient safety reviews, and performance improvement initiatives to identify and address opportunities for improvement.
- Analyze quality, patient safety, and patient satisfaction data and translate findings into actionable improvement strategies.
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing evidence-based practices that enhance care delivery and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with medical center and community practice leaders to standardize best practices and integrate quality improvement efforts across sites.
- Oversee quality reporting, dashboard development, and communication of performance metrics to senior leadership.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff while promoting professional growth, engagement, and accountability.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
- Master’s Degree in Nursing or BSN with a master’s degree in a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in clinical nursing, quality, risk management, regulatory compliance, or related healthcare quality functions.
- Three (3) years or more of ambulatory healthcare experience.
- Experience working within a healthcare system environment.
- One (1) or more years of leadership or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of infection prevention, sterilization, and disinfection practices.
- Strong understanding of quality improvement methodologies, patient safety principles, data analysis, and regulatory compliance.
- Preferred certifications include CIC, CPHQ, or CAHQ.

Job Status: Full time, exempt
Salary range $122,063 - $203,845
