As a successful candidate, you will:
- Conduct surveillance activities to monitor healthcare-associated infection (HAI) rates, bloodstream infections, ventilator-associated pneumonias, surgical site infections, and emerging trends using standardized methodologies.
- Analyze infection data and provide meaningful reporting and benchmarking to support quality improvement initiatives.
- Assist with monitoring compliance with Joint Commission standards, CMS Conditions of Participation, and state and federal regulations.
- Partner with clinical and operational teams to assess environmental and patient safety risks related to infection prevention and control.
- Participate in infection prevention audits, inspections, and monitoring activities involving sterile and aseptic practices, cleaning procedures, and sterilization processes.
- Develop and deliver educational programs and infection prevention training for staff and new employees.
- Manage required reporting activities to regulatory agencies and support investigations involving reportable diseases and conditions.
- Collaborate with department leaders to identify infection risks, recommend corrective actions, and implement solutions that improve patient outcomes.
- Contribute to committees, professional organizations, and organizational initiatives focused on quality, safety, and infection prevention excellence.

- Strong knowledge of healthcare-associated infection surveillance, prevention strategies, and regulatory standards.
- Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to improve quality and patient safety outcomes.
- Excellent communication, education, and relationship-building skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field or Master of Public Health (MPH).
