A Postdoctoral Fellowship position is immediately available in the laboratory of Dr. Christine Brown.  One major area of research focus is the development of CAR T cell therapy for the treatment of glioblastoma (GBM), the most common and aggressive type of adult primary brain tumor. Ongoing projects include addressing the challenge of tumor heterogeneity to reduce the potential of tumor antigen escape, overcoming the suppressive tumor micro-environment to improve CAR T cell function, monitoring tumor trafficking, optimizing CAR T cell route of delivery, and improving CAR T cell manufacturing.

Other areas of interest include understanding the interplay between CAR T cells and the host immune micro-environment, functionalizing CARs using the meditope cyclic peptide technology and CRISPR/Cas9 modification of CAR T cells for improved functionality.

Your qualifications should include:

·         Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in life sciences or a related field.
