The Senior Manager, Revenue Cycle Strategy serves as a key operational and strategic leader within the Revenue Cycle Strategic Consulting vertical at City of Hope. Reporting directly to the Director of Revenue Cycle Strategy, this position plays a critical role in executing performance improvement initiatives that align with enterprise goals related to financial integrity, process efficiency, and revenue optimization.
This role supports the Director in the planning, implementation, and oversight of transformation projects, including benchmarking, process assessments, and system innovation. The Senior Manager partners with operational leaders and cross-functional teams to drive enterprise-wide changes focused on charge capture, collections, denial prevention, and sustainable revenue cycle performance improvement. This individual brings a strong analytical mindset, deep operational knowledge of revenue cycle functions, and the ability to lead initiatives with minimal oversight while aligning with broader organizational strategy.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Lead strategic revenue cycle initiatives from discovery through implementation, driving measurable improvements in operational and financial performance.
- Conduct operational assessments and root cause analyses utilizing KPIs, dashboards, and workflow evaluations to identify high-impact opportunities.
- Collaborate with operational leaders and stakeholders to align enterprise revenue cycle strategy with departmental objectives.
- Design and implement change management, training, and remediation plans that support transformational initiatives.
- Monitor project milestones, financial outcomes, and ROI while providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Develop and present executive-level reports, presentations, and strategic recommendations with a focus on data accuracy and clear communication.
- Support audit readiness, compliance activities, technology adoption, and revenue cycle optimization efforts.
- Recruit, hire, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and performance excellence.
- Lead cross-functional project teams and influence organizational change across multiple departments.
- Ensure achievement of established team goals while maintaining strong partnerships throughout City of Hope.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business, Finance, or a related discipline; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of education.
- 5+ years of revenue cycle, healthcare operations, or healthcare consulting experience.
- 2+ years of leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience.
- Demonstrated expertise in revenue cycle operations, process improvement, and performance optimization.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and organizational levels.
- Experience leveraging data and reporting tools such as Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Working knowledge of EHR systems, with Epic experience preferred.
- Master’s degree and certifications such as CRCR, CHFP, CPA, Lean Six Sigma, or PMP preferred.
