A Clinical Research Assistant I is available within the Department of Outcomes Research.  You will support the day-to-day operations of multiple clinical research protocols to ensure efficient study conduct, regulatory compliance, accurate documentation, and timely data collection. Your responsibilities will include participant prescreening, recruitment, informed consent support, study visit coordination, data entry and quality review, regulatory file maintenance, audit readiness, and communication with investigators, clinical teams, regulatory staff, sponsors, vendors, and other internal and external collaborators. You must also exercise independent judgment within established protocols, institutional policies, and Good Clinical Practice standards.

As a successful candidate, you will:

·         Manage multiple clinical research protocols, ensuring accurate documentation, participant registration, and compliance with study and regulatory requirements.

·         Coordinate all study activities, including participant scheduling, visit tracking, reminders, questionnaires, specimen workflows, device management, and protocol-specific documentation.

·         Recruit, screen, enroll, consent, and follow up with study participants in accordance with protocol and institutional guidelines.

·         Collect, manage, analyze, and submit study data while maintaining data integrity and adherence to protocol requirements.

·         Perform protocol-specific clinical and research duties, including specimen collection, processing, handling, and safety compliance.

·         Monitor research activities for protocol adherence, identify issues or deviations, and communicate findings to investigators and leadership.

·         Train and mentor new clinical research staff while fostering collaborative relationships with participants, investigators, and healthcare teams.

·         Function independently with minimal oversight, support special projects, maintain an efficient work environment, and engage in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

·         Associate’s Degree.  Bachelor’s Degree preferred.  Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.

·         Reading, writing and comprehending medical terminology

·         Reading, identifying and extracting pertinent data from medical record

·         Experience with REDCap is preferred but not required.
