City of Hope is seeking a full-time neurologist at the Assistant or Associate Clinical Professor level to join the Department of Neurology at our Duarte, California, campus. This primarily clinical faculty position offers the opportunity to practice in a nationally recognized academic medical center while contributing to our mission to help people live longer, better, and more fully.

HIGHLIGHT

• Practice at a single location, with inpatient and outpatient facilities located on the Duarte campus.

• Work in state-of-the-art facilities that include a 215-bed hospital, 10 operating rooms, and four procedure rooms, with 24/7 on-site specialist, surgical, and critical care support

• Ability to participate in clinical research within an academic setting.

• Primarily a general neurology position, with opportunities to develop a subspecialty focus as the division grows.

DUTIES

•       Clinical responsibilities consist of 1 week rotation of inpatient care rotating with 3-4 weeks of outpatient care.

  o  

   Outpatient responsibilities comprise approximately four to four and a half days per week and include consultations, follow-up visits, telehealth visits, and procedures such as Botox injections and EMG.

  o   Provide inpatient neurology coverage on a rotating schedule with the other neurologists in the division.

  o   Interpret neurodiagnostic studies, including EEG, rapid EEG, nerve conduction studies, EMG, and evoked potentials.

  o Participate in the education of medical students and other learners.

•  Participate in the education of medical students and other learners.  

•  This is a primarily clinical position within an academic medical center. Depending on the candidate’s interests and career goals, the role may also include research, teaching, or administrative responsibilities. Manage patients’ neurologic complications of cancer and cancer therapy.

PAY & BENEFITS

Base Salary Range: Assistant level: $215K–$230K | Associate level: $230K–$246K.  The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits.  Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.
