City of Hope Medical Group is Seeking a Psychiatrist to Join our Irvine Team

To meet the demands of our growing network in Southern California, City of Hope is seeking a Psychiatrist at the Assistant, Associate or Professor level to join our clinical faculty at the Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, in Irvine, California campus.  Our interdisciplinary team - composed of specialist physicians, nurses, social workers, nutritionists, and chaplains - works with patients to meaningfully improve their medical, psychosocial, and behavioral health needs during and after cancer treatment. By bringing together clinical services, treatments, and the respective multidisciplinary team in one place, we can deliver truly coordinated care in a way that is effective and convenient for our patients.

The City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center is a 200,000 sq. ft. state of the art treatment center that opened in August 2022. This new center represents City of Hope’s 2nd major cancer center in Southern California. Together with six other network sites, represents the only dedicated cancer center in Orange County. Orange County, CA offers its residents top-rated public and private school options as well as easy access to beaches, Disneyland, San Diego, and Downtown Los Angeles

  • City of Hope adds 20% of salary to your retirement account (NOT a match—you don’t contribute a penny) each year; up to a maximum of $61,000
  • Generous salary and potential for sign-on bonus
    • Pay range: $300k - $335k *The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits.  Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Academic record consistent with appointment Assistant, Associate or Professor level at an ACGME accredited program is a plus but not required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in psychiatry required
  • Additional training in as psycho-oncologist or consultation-liaison psychiatry is a plus
  • Experience with cancer patients, preferred but not required
  • The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license
