As a successful candidate, you will:

The Enterprise Business Continuity Specialist works directly with the Manager of Business Continuity. Assists Manager, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) in identifying strategy and processes related to COH BCM plans and disaster recovery efforts. Executes a broad range of operational, administrative, and support activities for Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) Department, while using discretion and independent judgement, to meet the requirement(s) of California Department of Public Health (CDPH), The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and other standards and regulatory agencies.

  • Support Enterprise, Business Continuity and Resiliency Program by developing and implementing plans and practices to achieve efficient and effective communication and restoration of operations during emergencies.
  • Assist with operational resilience-related functions in conducting assessments to identify gaps in business continuity, emergency and disaster recovery plans: Emergency Management, Technology Disaster Recovery, Cybersecurity, Clinical and Non-Clinical Support teams.
  • Fusion Risk Management system administration, to include configurations, support and maintain business continuity resilience tools and applications.
  • Support the development, implementation of the business continuity trainings and presentations by providing input and best practices.
  • Coordinates disaster recovery initiatives/plans and manages the Annual Business Continuity calendar of activities while partnering with business units and sites.
  • Participation in City, County, State, and National level Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) trainings and drills and represents the organization within these activities.
  • Interact with business units, critical sites, and supporting departments for the purpose of planning, developing, controlling, and maintaining the business continuity management cycle of plans using discretion and independent judgement.
  • Develops exercise drill and testing scenarios, training packages, exercise documentation, evaluations, control and simulation plans.
  • Conducts analysis from business content data and interprets information to identify gaps and areas of improvement to ensure the further development of operational resilience strategies.
  • Development and maintenance of the annual risk and business continuity business impact analysis (BIA).
  • Creating and using performance metrics, visual boards, standard work, process mapping.
  • Assists with weekly and quarterly reporting, incident summary reports, and business incident after action reviews (AAR).
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or other relevant field
  • Two years of recent experience in business continuity planning, policy development, and coordination in an organization with multiple priorities.
  • Knowledge of Business Continuity and best practices.
  • Experience with enterprise risk management methodologies and frameworks.
  • Experience with tabletop exercises and recovery tests
  • Experience with coordination, management, and implementation of database programs and analytical reporting
  • Demonstrated success in leading supporting program implementation and management

Required Courses: 
Crisis Management and Emergency Management
Course Certificate – FEMA ICS-100, 200, 300,700, 800, 1300 (within 90 days of employment
