Join our team as a Sterile Processing Technician, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and effectiveness of patient care. Your main responsibilities include processing supplies, instruments, and equipment, as well as restocking and maintaining the storage of supplies and the case cart system. Additionally, you will provide support for various departmental functions as required to guarantee the safe, efficient, and prompt delivery of patient care. As a successful candidate, you will:

·        Process instruments, supplies and equipment according to established policies and procedures. 

·        Maintain an adequate supply of packs and supplies to meet area needs including inventory control, proper labeling and labeling of packages.

·        Have prior experiences in a hospital setting, trauma center, and/or outpatient surgery center (highly preferred)

·        Possess general computer experience (EPIC) and knowledge of instrumentation and sterilization and case cart systems (highly preferred)

·        Have one or both of the following: CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) (highly preferred)

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training; Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
  • Certified Registered Central Service Technician or 1 year sterile processing experience in an acute care setting.
  • CPR (from American Heart Association)
