Assistant Physicist – Radiation Oncology

As an Assistant Physicist in radiation therapy, your role is to support various aspects of dosimetry, calibration, treatment planning, and safety under the guidance of a licensed medical physicist. You'll be responsible for calculating treatment time, preparing dosimetric information, including contour taking, computer-assisted treatment planning, dose computation, and designing beam shaping blocks and compensators. As a successful candidate, you will: 

• Assist our Quality Assurance Program for Clinical Radiation Dosimetry: review of proper dose delivery and cumulative dose; compare computed dose with delivered dose using diodes or TLD's
• Perform tests to check operation of therapy machines; recalibrate therapy machines.
• Retrieve previous treatment records

Your qualifications should include:

• Bachelor's Degree in Physics or Engineering
