This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus of, $7,500.00.

We are in search of a Surgical Technologist I. In this role, you will undertake a diverse array of technical responsibilities to support surgical and/or endoscopic procedures. These include assisting in maintaining adequate supply levels, as well as cleaning and decontaminating equipment and instruments. Your involvement in activities to ensure regulatory compliance and readiness for surveys is also vital. 

 As a successful candidate, you will:  

Assist surgeons during operative/invasive procedure, assuring that necessary supplies, instruments, and equipment are ready and/or available and anticipates such needs. 
Maintain sterile techniques; actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in sterile technique. 
Establish and maintains interpersonal relationships with patients, visitors and other hospital personnel, while assuring confidentiality of patient information. 
Maintain confidentiality of patient and unit care data. 
Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings. 
Assist with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include: 

Minimum Education:

Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training as a Surgical Technologist Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
 

Minimum Experience:   

0 - 3 years' experience scrubbing major and/or endoscopic cases in a hospital setting.
 

Required Certification/Licensure/Training:  

BLS through the American Heart Association
Surgical/Endoscopic Technologist Certification, preferred.
 

Additional Information:
