At City of Hope Chicago, we provide a wide array of services used to deliver a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment plan, all under one roof.  Here, a team of physicians, surgeons, practitioners, and support staff provides integrative cancer treatment, tailored to patients’ needs all in a very caring and compassionate environment.

  • Advanced genomic testing & counseling

  • Breast reconstruction

  • Gastroenterology 

  • Gynecologic oncology 

  • Hematologic oncology 

  • Infusion 

  • Interventional pulmonology 

  • Interventional radiology

  • Interventional pain management

  • Laboratory medicine 

  • Medical oncology 

  • Nursing 

  • Precision Medicine

  • Radiation oncology 

  • Radiology and imaging 

  • Skin, wound and ostomy care 

  • Surgical oncology (currently, 1 surgical oncologist 5 years post training)

  • 70 bed inpatient unit with ICU

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

  • Demonstrated ability to function as a team player

  • Collegial and helpful with internal colleagues, referring physicians, and others

  • Articulate and engaging with patients, families, and other caregivers, using understandable language and compassion at all times

  • Confident yet humble manner that earns respect from patients and colleagues

  • Well-versed in the state of cancer care, including the latest standards of care, research, and innovations

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) or Foreign Equivalent

  • Minimum of 10 years of clinical practice experience required.

  • Board Certified in General Surgery

  • Board Certified in Complex General Surgical Oncology or fellowship trained in Surgical Oncology  

  • Extensive experience using minimally invasive techniques.

  • Experience with GI oncology & colorectal cancer required

  • Experience with cytoreductive surgery preferred.

  • HIPEC experience preferred.

SALARY RANGE: $400,000 - $550,000    The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits.  Actual compensation will be adjusted for specialty, experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.
