The Senior Manager provides leadership oversight in the areas of daily operations, cost management, capital and operating budgets, program development and quality management. Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance operations, clinical outcomes, patient experience, and program growth. Will assure delivery of safe patient care in a complex, acuity adaptable environment. Collaborates with physicians, APPs, nursing, facility wide multidisciplinary teams including clinical leaders, hospitalists, clinic, pharmacy, lab, radiology services, case management, social work, and safety to ensure seamless patient care across all areas. Has direct report responsibility over Stem Cell Clinic, Stem Cell Inpatient, Care Management, NMDP program, stem cell front line leaders.

The successful candidate:

  • Reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer with dotted line reporting to the Stem Cell Transplant and Cell Therapy Program Medical Director and Director of Nursing.
  • Provides leadership oversight in the areas of daily operations, cost management, capital and operating budgets, program development and quality management.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance operations, clinical outcomes, patient experience and program growth.
  • Will assure delivery of safe patient care in a complex, acuity adaptable environment.
  • Collaborates with physicians, APPs, nursing, facility wide multidisciplinary teams including clinical leaders, hospitalists, clinic, pharmacy, lab, radiology services, case management, social work, and safety to ensure seamless patient care across all areas. Has direct report responsibility over Stem Cell Clinic, Stem Cell Inpatient, Care Management, NMDP program, stem cell front line leaders and data manager.
  • Direct oversight over NMDP coordinators and Apheresis nurses
  • Develop and implement quality management performance measurement system and data management infrastructure, processes, procedures, guidelines, and tools that will be used to monitor and evaluate the overall performance and effectiveness of COH Chicago Stem Cell program in conjunction with Medical Director and CNO
  • Participate in enterprise-level quality initiatives, develop, and submit timely reports required by accreditation and regulatory agencies, and registries such as the Center for International Blood and Marrow Transplant Registry (CIBMTR).

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Minimum 5-year experience in hospital healthcare setting leadership, or service line management.  
  • Minimum 5-years Quality Management and Regulatory Compliance experience in Bone Marrow Transplantation/Cellular Therapy Program; FACT Accreditation Standards-Preferred.
  • BSN and 5 years of progressive oncology experience. 3 years as departmental leader or program coordinator or manager role.
  • Master’s Degree in Quality Management or Quality Assurance or Nursing Certification  and 5 years in leadership-Preferred
  • Current IL RN License
  • Leadership, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution, MS office, data management and statistical analysis programs, electronic health record system, policy and procedure writing/system, QC/QA.
  • Deviation/CAPA Management System-Preferred
