We have a great opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse in our outpatient infusion clinic in Huntington Beach. The nurse plays a crucial role in providing specialized care to our patients in the outpatient chemotherapy infusion clinic.  Your primary responsibility is to deliver comprehensive nursing care to the patients while assisting them through their treatment journey offering emotional support and education.  The nurses at City of Hope play a vital role in improving the quality of life for cancer patients by providing expert care, support, and education throughout their cancer journey. Multiple positions available for full-time, part-time, and per diem.

Up to $20,000 Sign-on Bonus Available for Full-time!

 

As a successful candidate, you will: 

  • Assessing patients’ health status
  • Developing and implementing care plans
  • Administering chemotherapy and other medications, monitoring patents’ vital signs and symptoms
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families and coordinating care and follow-up appointments. Help with managing side effects and complications from their cancer treatment.  Involved in quality improvement initiatives, and patient education programs specific to cancer care.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing or master’s degree nursing is required. 
  • Three to five years related experience.
  • Current California Registered Nurse license
  • Current BLS through American Heart Association. 
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills 

Preferred:

  • One year oncology and chemo administration
  • National certification (must be obtained within 3 years of hire and must be maintained thereafter in order to Clin III status)
  • Two years (2) years of experience in a physician office or hospital
  • *If applicable to your site Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification
