The lab of Dr. Adolfo Garcia-Ocana is seeking at Research Associate II to join the Department of Molecular and Cellular Endocrinology at the Arthur Riggs-Diabetes and Metabolism Research Institute of City of Hope.  For more information on Adolfo Garcia-Ocana please visit here. 

 

As a successful candidate, you will:

·       Utilizing laboratory equipment and established protocols, performs a variety of research experiments. Records and validates results for accuracy and completeness.

·       May modify protocols

·       Write standard operating procedures and reports.

·       Maintains records of work performed including results and methodology; utilizing records may calculate, graph and compile data.

·       Develops techniques and expertise in one or more areas relevant to laboratory research project.

·       Ensures that all laboratory activities are carried out in compliance with safety procedures and guidelines in handling, storage and disposal of materials. 

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry or related field, with 2 years of post-degree research experience, or 1 year with a Master’s degree.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy in lab work, and robust record-keeping skills.
