Position Summary:

Assists Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) and the Radiation Safety office team to comply with federal, state and local radiation Safety regulations.  Perform planning and scheduling functions, as well as logistical support.

As a successful candidate, you will: 

  • Assists with the administrative management for the dosimetry program and maintains employee’s radiation exposure records.
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly dosimetry reports for RSO, RSC and FOC review.
  • Performs regular inspections of medical and research areas utilizing radioactive materials or radiation producing machines.  
  • Performs the commissioning and decommissioning of all medical and research areas utilizing radioactive materials or radiation producing machines.  
  • Performs radioactive materials inventory and leak tests on sealed and un-sealed sources, as required. 

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include: 

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in related field.  Additional operational experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
  • 2 years of related experience
