JOB TITLE: Marketing Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Marketing Specialist is responsible for contributing to the development and execution of integrated marketing and communication strategies, branding initiatives, and community engagement at City of Hope Atlanta. The specialist will partner and work closely with the Marketing Manager in developing patient access plans, physician and clinical marketing campaigns, competitive landscapes, and consumer insights to develop hyper local marketing tactics to build trust and loyalty to increase patient access and brand awareness. The specialist will collaborate closely with clinical stakeholders, physicians, and internal teams to deliver clear, accurate, and engaging marketing content.
The Marketing Specialist will report to the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee day-to-day deliverables as required and provide any necessary direction and resources to internal/external partners.
Gather information on the hospital level pertaining to new service line opportunities, technology advancements, growth initiatives, brand equity, and awareness.
Ensure project deliverables are made in a timely manner and conduct weekly project status meetings with the Marketing Manager and Executive Director, Marketing and Communications.
Collaborate with the Marketing Manager to assist in tracking expenses and assist in processing invoices to maintain the budget.
Provide oversight for community engagement events as it relates to Cancer Support Organizations (CSO) and work cross-functionally with hospital teams to support the hospital and increase brand awareness within the community.
Create and edit content for digital, print and social media platforms, including writing patient stories and clinical service line copy.
Ensure all content complies with brand, regulatory, and HIPAA guidelines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in marketing or communications or related field.
Minimum of 3 years in a senior- level role within a health care or hospital business setting.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience developing communications and health care marketing campaigns.
AP Style.
Proven success in writing and editing of medical content, health care publications and stories, including patient education materials, scientific articles, or provider-focused content.
Clinical and physician marketing platforms, including Doximity and Medscape.
Experience working with oncology or specialty service lines.
Strong project management, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills.
Advanced Degree (e.g. Master’s Degree) in Marketing, Communication, Business, or related field
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communication, Business or other related field or equivalent working experience/knowledge.
