To demonstrate support of the hospital mission and vision by providing nursing, case management/disease management services to clients and families to help in the coordination and management of individuals’ health needs through the full continuum, as needed. The Registered Nurse demonstrates the ability to assess, coordinate, plan, monitor, implement and evaluate the patient’s plan of care while ensuring and facilitating the achievement of optimal quality, clinical and financial outcomes.  Performs assessment of clinical and life issues for the patients of CoH. Provides professional nursing services in support of the physician, in the direct and indirect care of patients.

The successful candidate:

• Must be able to work Monday-Friday, 6:30a-3:00p.

• Implement care for patients receiving therapeutic phlebotomy.

• Collect blood specimens and blood cultures.

• Care for patients with IV lines, central lines, and ports.

• Utilize the EHR appropriately.

• Ensure all documentation is entered accurately and in a timely manner.

• Work as part of a team to facilitate communication and services between physicians, patients, families, and other healthcare team members.

• Provide patient education using appropriate resources.

• Document patient education in SCM.

• Perform tasks as outlined in facility policies and procedures.

• Comply with requirements from regulating agencies and best nursing practices.

• Tasks include central line care, patient education, procedure assistance, and medication administration.

• Administer medications via injection.

• Use the 6 rights and medication bar scanner.

• Monitor patients for side effects.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

• Current Georgia RN license from an accredited college

• BSN required or enrolled within 6 months of hire and BSN completed within three years from hire date

• BLS (Obtain AHA certification within 30 days of hire)
