The SEDOD will contribute by employing and modeling key processes and programs that support an office-wide focus on collaboration, efficiencies and metrics-based performance outcomes, in addition to primary role responsibilities.
Specifically, this position is responsible for developing, implementing, assessing and evolving strategies to grow corporate industry programs for City of Hope, including existing local campaigns, programs and projects as well as targeted outreach to individual corporate partners. The SEDOD—leads and manages a team focused on executing strategy as well as collaborating with the OOP Individual Giving teams (Major, Principal and Planned) in developing and cultivating a pipeline of individual donors.
The SEDOD acts as a part of an integrated fundraising team and will also serve as a leader on special projects related to strategic priorities of the institution. As a key leader managing 1/3 of the corporate philanthropy industries, the SEDOD will work collaboratively across the department, as well as the OOP, to develop programmatic strategies to grow and steward our overall national portfolio of donor and corporate partners and volunteer activities.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Lead the team of unique industries who work on corporate industry campaigns and activities in reaching its strategic development and fundraising goal.
- Meet annual activity and financial performance metrics.
- Analyze and implement programs to ensure cost effectiveness.
- Develop, implement and assess strategic plans for increasing the financial success of industry campaigns and events, working strategically with staff and, when appropriate, programs across offices of Philanthropy and Marketing/Communications
- Develop and maintain productive, mission founded relationships with key donors, volunteers, committees and councils. Attend council meetings and events.
- Develop and maintain productive relationships with City of Hope faculty and staff to support fundraising initiatives for COH priorities.
- Help support the building on new roadmap to support all Industries leading to campaign.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Philanthropy or related field. Experience may substitute for subject area requirements.
- 7+ years in fund raising, development, or related field in non-profit environment.
- Experience in a complex medical or academic development setting encouraged.
- Demonstrated understanding of social media outlets such as Linked In, Twitter and Facebook required.
- Minimum 3 years supervisory experience required.
