The successful candidate:
Associate Account Follow-Up Representative An entry-level role within the Patient Accounts department, responsible for resolving patient account balances and assisting with reimbursement. Duties include handling inbound/outbound calls, working with self-pay and insurance accounts, and administering financial assistance programs. The representative serves as a key point of contact for patients, payers, and representatives, ensuring accurate documentation and reconciliation of account details.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred)
1-2 years’ experience in a healthcare-related call center, registration, or collections
Knowledge of insurance policies, Explanation of Benefits, ICD coding, and contract terms
Strong analytical, communication, and customer service skills
Proficiency in data entry, MS Office, and online research tools
Ability to prioritize tasks, adapt to change, and maintain productivity
