Join Our Team as a Senior Research Development Scientist

This role collaborates closely with researchers across the institution to enhance extramural funding applications—including complex team science initiatives and Cancer Center Support Grants—and maintain proposal templates and boilerplate content.

  • Assist in the development and integration of multi-project grant proposals and large scientific reports, ensuring coherence and scientific rigor.
  • Facilitate team collaboration during the preparation of both individual and multi-investigator grant submissions.
  • Enhance clarity, accuracy, and visual appeal of data presentation, including formatting and figure refinement.
  • Develop deep knowledge of institutional research priorities, attending seminars, symposia, and retreats to stay informed.
  • Lead educational workshops and courses on grantsmanship and scientific writing for faculty and researchers.
  • Support the preparation of institutional scientific documents, templates, and standardized text for research proposals.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with 5+ years of experience in experimental design, scientific writing/editing, or clinical study design.
