Physical Therapist II – Rehabilitation Services

The Physical Therapist II provides high-quality patient care and family education through evaluation, treatment planning, and the application of physical therapy techniques, following regulatory standards and the philosophy of City of Hope. This role serves as a rehabilitation consultant for complex patients, facilitating innovative and efficient treatment interventions, while also overseeing student internships, clinical education, and the development of clinical programs and treatment protocols.

 

As a successful candidate, you will: 

  • Screen patients to determine need for intervention and initiates referrals as appropriate
  • Evaluate patients using appropriate age specific tools. Interpret data in order to plan treatment
  • Establish goals and treatment plans based on evaluation data, rehabilitation potential, discharge plans, and in coordination with goals and plans of patient, family and other care team members
  • Modify treatment program according to patient needs and progress, terminates treatment appropriately, and develops appropriate discharge and post discharge plans
  • Complete evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and third-party reimbursement reports per established departmental requirements
  • Act as a preceptor to physical therapy and physical therapist assistant students

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited school
  • 2 years of recent physical therapy experience
  • Current Physical Therapist license in the State of California
  • CPR Certification
  • For pediatric service, CCS Panel provider or complete application within 60 days of hire or when hours attained.
  • Note: For candidates with < 2 years of experience, the Physical Therapist I pay range is: $39.25/hr - $50.04/hr - $60.83/hr
