Position Summary:
Assists health care consumers (patients, survivors, families, and caregivers) in linking to resources and navigating through the care continuum. Acts as the key non-clinical contact who identifies needs and provides information about services and processes at City of Hope.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Provides information to patients, families, survivors, and caregivers who visit the Patient and Family Resource Center. Information and services are provided courteously, accurately, and in a timely-manner.
- Acts as the key non-clinical individual, which patients can contact and ask questions about COH. Assist with questions and connects individuals with appropriate individuals, if needed.
- Conducts follow-up calls to patients and families to inform them about the patient navigator program.
- Arranges introductory meetings with patients and families to discuss services City of Hope.
- Coordinates and provides hospital orientation and tours of areas pertinent to patient care.
- Orients and informs patients about different services, modalities, and resources that COH provides.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s Degree. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
- Three of more years of experience working in hospital / health care settings and interacting collaboratively with medical teams.
- Position requires strong exercise of customer service experience / skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual (Spanish, Cantonese, or Mandarin –speaking preferred)
