We’re looking for a motivated and compassionate Exercise Physiologist I to join our Exercise Oncology Program. In this role, you’ll be on the front lines of innovative research, guiding participants through personalized exercise protocols that support their health and recovery. You’ll be the vital link between our program leadership and study participants—educating, motivating, and ensuring a safe, supportive environment every step of the way.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Deliver and adapt exercise training for individuals in the Exercise Oncology Program, ensuring safety, performance optimization, and appropriate modifications for special populations.
  • Monitor and assess vital signs during rest and exercise, identify abnormalities, and respond to medical emergencies as needed.
  • Document sessions accurately, track participant outcomes, and manage scheduling to support efficient program workflows.
  • Ensure quality and safety by adhering to research protocols, supporting data collection, and maintaining a safe environment for participants and staff.
  • Educate participants on exercise principles, device usage, and protocol adherence; communicate feedback to program leadership.
  • Conduct physiological assessments, including pre-screenings, submaximal tests, and functional capacity evaluations.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

·       Bachelor’s in Exercise Science or related field

·       6+ months experience in exercise prescription/testing

·       American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Certification – current or obtain within 3 months is required

·       Preferred Certifications:

·       ACSM Certified Personal Trainer (or equivalent) – current or within 12 months

·       NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist

·       Sport or exercise coaching certification
