Clinical Laboratory Scientist II - Core Lab (Part Time, 3/week, 8-Hr. Shifts, 10 PM-6:30 AM)

In this role, we are seeking a Clinical Laboratory Scientist II to join our growing team! You will be responsible for preparing specimens and conducting clinical laboratory procedures, ranging from waived to high complexity, while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory guidelines such as SOPs, FACT, AABB, ACHI, CAP, FDA, and Joint Commission standards. This position offers a sign-on bonus and presents an excellent opportunity for skilled professionals in the field.
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Stay updated on techniques for preparing and processing biological specimens, including universal precautions, and maintain proficiency in manual, semi-automated, and automated procedures.
- Execute a variety of complex laboratory tests and procedures according to established protocols and schedules, ensuring procedures are completed within specified turnaround times.
- Review normal and critical results for accuracy and completeness, promptly notifying supervisors of unusual findings.
- Conduct quality control procedures, including maintenance, calibrations, and data recording, to support Quality Assurance efforts.
- Utilize standard laboratory equipment, record and verify results for completeness and accuracy, and perform data entry of diagnostic information.
- Prepare and label solutions, reagents, culture media, and stains in accordance with standard formulas and procedures.
- Recognize, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical problems, guiding and assisting others in resolution.
- Actively participate in maintaining compliance with competency requirements and promote quality assurance activities, including drafting and validating new/revised laboratory policies, procedures, and validation protocols for instrumentation and tests.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) licensure
- Minimum 2 years as a certified or licensed clinical laboratory scientist
