The successful candidate:
This is a Part-time position located on Paces Ferry Road on Howell Mill Road in Atlanta, Georgia.
This location is projected to open November 2025.
Hours: 8:00am to 5:00pm, 3 days a week.
The Receptionist is responsible for performing various duties related to the Oncology Clinic. Assists the Practice Manager and other Clinic employees in coordinating departmental functions, various clerical duties, multiple computer systems, record management, data compilation, various reports, and correspondence, answering clinic phones, routine questions, and assisting patients and caregivers with various needs.
Greet and check in patients. Collect all necessary information to ensure proper billing, including insurance information and patient demographics. Collect copays and patient balances.
Check patients out. Make follow-up appointments, per doctor’s order. Give patients written orders for any test or scans that MD has ordered. Call admissions and set up urgent appointments.
Answer phones, route calls appropriately, take and deliver messages, schedule appointments. Print and deliver faxes. Copy and/or fax records, scripts, and orders.
Shred unnecessary info to maintain patient confidentiality. Scan all records into the health record system. Maintain electronic patient charts.
Locate records from other doctors’ offices or from hospitals. Find and print patient medical records in the EPIC Medical records system. Obtain referral from referring doctors.
Stamp mail. Sign for mail and packages.
Keep waiting room organized and clean. Clean the break room. Water plants. Lock office at the end of the day
Minimum Requirement
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in the medical field preferred
Minimum Required Skills:
Scanner, fax machine, copy machine
Microsoft Office
