X-Ray Technologist II – Diagnostic Radiology (4 x 10-hour shifts) (Evening/Variable Shift)

Join City of Hope - Irvine as an X-Ray Technologist II, where you'll shine in the spotlight of healthcare excellence! As an X-Ray Technologist II, you'll operate X-ray equipment, ensuring quality exams. You will prepare procedure rooms, assist during exams, and provide documentation for tracking and billing. You will also perform various radiologic procedures, including General Radiography, while prioritizing patient safety. Serving as one of the patient's first point of contact, you will play a key role in meeting their imaging needs and actively participate in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities. Additional Note: Additional Note: This position requires flexibility to accommodate varying patient needs. Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. On-call responsibilities and mandatory overtime may also be necessary. Tentative Variable Schedule: 12:00pm - 2:00pm (start time) - 10:30pm - 12:30am (end time).
As a successful candidate, you will:
Perform a variety of radiologic procedures including General Radiography and crossed trained to another modality, either CT or MRI, within Diagnostic Imaging.
Assist the radiologist, cardiologist, and/or clinician during radiologic procedures, including invasive and non-invasive studies.
Prepare the patient, explains the procedure, and ensures patient’s cooperation during the examination.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in Radiologic Technology or equivalent. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
2 years in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, preferred
Must be cross trained into another specialized imaging modality other than basic X-ray. Other modalities are CT and MRI.
AMA approved school of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.
