We are growing at City of Hope Lennar Foundation Cancer Center in Irvine and looking for a Radiation Oncology Nurse. The nurse is an integral member of the healthcare team and collaborates with the Radiation Oncologist and Radiation Therapist to coordinate treatment plans, ensure quality patient care and to provide continuity, during the course of treatment and follow-up care. They will provide direct and indirect patient care to clinic patients and their families of any potential problems that the patient may experience related to the disease process and treatment. As a successful candidate, you will:

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Provide direct patient care in either in the outpatient or hospital setting.

  • Assess and monitor patient’s condition and progress.

  • Starting IV for imaging and radiation treatment procedures. 

  • Provide education to patients and families.

  • Document patient’s medical history, vital signs, and relevant information.

  • Assist in the development of individualized care plans.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in nursing is required

  • Three to five years related experience

  • Current California Registered Nurse License

  • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills
