The successful candidate:

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, 3 days per week
Rotation: Every third weekend and holiday rotation

Position Summary:

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a vital member of the care team, working under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse. This role supports daily patient care activities, performs select tests and procedures, and assists with environmental and administrative tasks based on competency level.

The PCT provides care across various age groups as defined in the scope of care and must demonstrate strong organizational skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. This position involves regular interaction with patients, families, and staff across the City of Hope system and the broader community.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Listed in good standing on the Illinois Healthcare Worker Registry or certified EMT

• CPR certification required

• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with electronic health records and Outlook

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

• Ability to organize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision
