The successful candidate:
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 1:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Position Summary:
Responsible for the safe and professional transportation of patients, caregivers, and administrative staff in extended-length vehicles to and from various locations within a 70-mile radius of Zion, Illinois. This role ensures that passengers’ needs are met with exceptional customer service, promoting comfort and representing City of Hope in a positive and professional manner.
Minimum Qualifications:
Familiarity with the Chicagoland area or ability to read and comprehend road maps
Valid driver’s license for the state of residence
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger Endorsement (preferred)
Valid DOT medical certification (must possess or obtain upon hire)
Excellent driving record for the past three (3) years
Sound judgment and quick decision-making skills in situations involving inclement weather, ill passengers, traffic, etc.
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
Working knowledge of defensive driving rules and techniques
