The successful candidate:

Position Summary:
This position requires a pharmacist with a comprehensive understanding of pharmacy operations, including—but not limited to—the duties and functions of a pharmacist within the department. The Pharmacy Supervisor must demonstrate expertise in sterile technique and medication preparation/dispensing in accordance with Federal, State, USP 797/800/795, Joint Commission, and other applicable regulatory standards.

The Pharmacy Supervisor oversees the day-to-day responsibilities of pharmacists and works under the direction of the Assistant Director or Director of Pharmacy to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient pharmacy operations.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education

Minimum Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of pharmacy experience required

  • Minimum 3 years of hospital pharmacy experience required

  • Oncology pharmacy experience preferred

Required Certification/Licensure:

  • Current Illinois State Registered Pharmacist license
