We’re looking for a Physician Assistant to join our team at City of Hope Newport Beach.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with nine of our providers as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering exceptional, comprehensive patient care. The Physician Assistant will play a key role in overseeing clinic operations, including patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management, education, and health promotion throughout the patient’s care journey. Additionally, the PA will provide support during emergencies in the infusion clinic and assist the care team as needed to ensure the highest standard of care.

As a successful candidate, you will:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and symptom evaluations.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.

  • Treatment Planning and Coordination:

  • Assist in developing and coordinating individualized treatment plans for cancer patients.

  • Monitor and adjust treatment regimens based on patient response and feedback.

  • Perform or assist in various diagnostic procedures, such as biopsies and imaging studies.

  • Prescribe and manage medications, including chemotherapy drugs and supportive mediations.

  • Educate patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and self-care.

  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the broader healthcare team.

  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records, documenting patient encounters, treatment plans, and progress notes.

  • Monday - Friday, 4/10HR. 

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program with a master’s degree as a Physician Assistant.

  • Three years as a Physician Assistant is preferred

  • Unrestricted, Current Physician Assistant license

  • Current DEA license required

  • Current BLS certification from American Heart Association

  • Current ACLS certification from American Heart Association

  • Preferred prior experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting.

  • Preferred (3) three years as a Physician Assistant.
