We’re looking for an experienced and compassionate Hematology/Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our team on a per diem, remote, after-hours basis. In this vital role, you’ll provide expert clinical support to oncology patients during non-business hours — 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and/or 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on weekends,(24hour coverage) as needed.

As part of our dedicated care team, you’ll triage patient calls, prioritize care needs, and provide clinical advice to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate guidance. You’ll also escalate cases to the on-call physician by specialty when necessary and document all interactions accurately in EPIC (EMR).

 

We’re seeking a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in an independent work environment and demonstrates sound clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for oncology care. Candidate must reside in California

Schedule:

  • Per diem, remote coverage
  • Weekday shifts: 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.
  • Weekend shifts: 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m. (as needed)
  • Hourly rate: minimum range $66.00 - midpoint $83.00 - maximum $92.00 depending on years of experience as a nurse practitioner.

 

 

As a successful candidate, you will: 

  • Provide after-hours remote triage and symptom management for hematology/oncology patients

  • assess urgency and prioritize patient needs appropriately

  • Offer evidence-based clinical advice and escalate cases as needed

  • Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in EPIC (EMR)

  • Collaborate with the on-call physician and care team to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include: 

·         Master's Degree, or Doctorate Degree as Nurse Practitioner

·         Three years clinical experience

·         Current California RN license

·         California NP License

·         California NP Furnishing License within 6 months of hire

·         DEA within 6 months of hire

·         National NP Board Certification through accrediting body

·         Specialty Certification as defined/required for role

·         Basic Life Support (BLS through American Heart Association

·         Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association
