An Administrative Analyst role is open within the Department of Supportive Care Medicine under Dr. William Dale where you will perform a variety of professional and administrative duties and analysis functions in support of the day-to-day operations.  This will include resolving problems related to the department, preparing financial documents, and auditing and authorizing forms to comply with policies and procedures.

The Department of Supportive Care Medicine utilizes a staff leadership model and every employee is expected to take a leadership role in the department. You will also be expected to actively participate in marketing, educational and group programs, program development and fundraising efforts, and outreach to patients, families, other City of Hope departments and the community.

As a successful candidate you will:

·         Perform a variety of duties which may include department/program administration, organizational analysis, fiscal oversight, facilities coordination, systems review and personnel management. Accurately prepare internal City of Hope forms for such processes such as check requests, travel vouchers, on-payroll transfers, salary transfers, RAS, etc. Assist in the management and expense monitoring of all the division cost centers and accounts.

·         Participate in short and long-range planning and policy or program development by analyzing operational policies, resource utilization, etc. and developing recommendations for department management.

·         Assist Directors in budget and grant preparation by gathering, analyzing and reporting data. Monitor awarded budgets and grants and reports variances. Coordinate grant reapplication process and foundation reporting process.

·         Receive and disburse funds, maintaining compliance with the Cash Management Policy.

·         Research, gather, analyze & summarize data for reports.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include:

·         Bachelors degree.  Experience may substitute for minimum education.

·         2-3 years of related experience in business administration and administration analysis to include budgets, grant accounting, facility or personal support

·         Experience in academic or research environment preferred
