The successful candidate:

***This is a part-time role- 24 hrs/week. You will work four 6 hour shifts-- 11:30AM-6:00PM. Work days will vary based on volume & acuity.***

The Anesthesia Technician plays a critical role in supporting the anesthesia care team to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of anesthesia services. Under the direction of the anesthesia provider and the Registered Nurse, the technician is an integral member of the surgical team, contributing to high-quality patient care across all areas where anesthesia is administered. This role involves the preparation, acquisition, and application of a wide range of anesthesia-related equipment and supplies. The technician is trained to anticipate the needs of both the patient and the provider, adapting to the specific requirements of each surgical procedure or clinical situation. Responsibilities include setting up supplies and equipment prior to procedures, assisting anesthesiologists with the insertion of arterial lines, epidurals, spinals, and regional blocks, and maintaining appropriate inventory levels of anesthesia supplies. In collaboration with anesthesia providers and other stakeholders, the Anesthesia Technician helps promote patient safety by ensuring the proper functioning of operating room specialty equipment and the availability of necessary materials. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to patient care support.

Position Qualifications:

Minimum Education:

High School Diploma or equivalent GED

Minimum Experience:

One year of hospital/surgical background or experience

Req. Certification/Licensure:

American Heart Basic Life Support (BLS)
