The successful candidate:

Hours: Sunday-Thursday 11am-730pm

Responsible for transportation of patients, caregivers, and administration in extra length vehicles to and from various locations within a 70-mile radius of Zion, Illinois.  Assures that the passenger’s needs are met by providing quality customer service, thus creating a maximum comfort level and representing City of Hope in a professional and positive way.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 months of driving with passengers

  • Familiarity with the Chicago land area or ability to read and comprehend road maps.

  • Valid driver’s license for the state the employee resides in

  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) for the state the employee resides in with Passenger Endorsement preferred.

  • Valid DOT medical (currently in possession or will need to obtain upon hire)

  • Excellent driving record for past three (3) years

  • Sound judgment and quick decision making when presented with inclement weather, ill passengers, traffic, etc.

  • Good interpersonal/customer service skills

  • Working knowledge of Defensive Driving rules of the road and techniques
