Our rapidly expanding, nationally recognized cancer institute seek to hire a Surgical Oncologist with a focus on Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary (HPB)  who will contribute their skills in growing and developing our Surgical Oncology Program at our main campus in Duarte, CA, California. We are seeking research and mission- minded physicians as every discovery we make and every new treatment we create, gives people the chance to live longer, better, and more fully.

Position Highlights:

Join our nationally recognized team of medical, surgical, and radiation oncology specialists as we seek to hire a full-time clinical leader and program builder:

  • Can provide leadership, support quality and safety, lead and maintain clinical excellence and innovation, and develop clinical, administrative, and clinical research activities for our Surgical Oncology Program at our new Irvine campus
  • Clinical responsibilities to include surgical oncology treatment (focus on HPB) with compassionate patient-centered care

Position Benefits:  

·           Excellent benefits package, including a generous retirement contribution plan 

·           Relocation assistance may be available 

·          Base Salary Range:$300,000 - $500,000.The range listed is exclusively for base compensation for full-time employment and does not include incentive compensation or benefits.Actual compensation will be adjusted for experience, training, hospital/community need and other factors.

Qualifications

·         Experience as a surgical oncologist with excellent clinical skills and evidence of the ability and desire to build a practice and think programmatically

·         Experience working in an academic medical center or specialty cancer center that delivers both clinical and translational research to patients diagnosed with cancer is desirable

  • Be well versed in the state of cancer care and the latest research and innovations
  • Academic record consistent with appointment as an Assistant to Associate level Professor
  • The ideal candidate must participate in clinical research and conduct clinical trials
  • Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree, fellowship trained, and Board certified/eligible
  • The selected candidate for the position must be eligible to obtain or already hold an active California medical license
