NOTE: Part Time. 24 hours a week, 2 days a week. 12 hours shift. Start time of 4:30am and/or 9am. Will need to work 1 weekend every 6 weeks. Will need to work 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year.

As a successful candidate, you will: 

Coordinates activities to ensure appropriate staffing for patient care areas, including development of schedules, processing of approved vacation and holiday time, receiving and covering sick calls, timely cancellations of per-diem staff, and floating of staff as appropriate to current competencies and certifications.  Maintains data and records and statistical reporting in the overall staffing effort.

  • Provides services that are accurate, reliable, courteous and timely.

  • Supports the efforts of all care providers to deliver quality care.

  • Demonstrates competence appropriate to their role and function.

  • Demonstrates understanding of all professional and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborates with colleagues to provide sound decision-making.

  • Communicates effectively with all customers and colleagues to meet organizational goals.

  • Maintains current knowledge, skills and competencies through involvement in professional continuing education activities.

  • Uses resources efficiently.

  • Fosters involvement in performance improvement activities to promote continuous improvement in care delivery.

  • Demonstrates assimilation of core organizational values within own performance.

  • Prioritizes work and provides prompt and efficient service.  Maintains a high level of quality.

  • Participates in departmental and hospital performance improvement activities.

  • Participates in staff in-service and education of newly implemented processes, spreadsheets and computer systems.

  • Communicates effectively with all levels and ages of staff.  Fosters the development of teamwork within the department while meeting the needs of the department being served.

  • Handles telephone calls; exercises judgment as to the urgency or other nature of the calls; directs calls to appropriate personnel.

  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.

  • Utilizes proper judgment in decision-making.

  • Demonstrates a positive a positive image.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Your qualifications should include: 

  • High School or equivalent

  • Post high school vocational/specialized training

  • Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.

  • Three years related experience preferably within a medical and/or research environment
