NOTE: Part Time. 24 hours a week, 2 days a week. 12 hours shift. Start time of 4:30am and/or 9am. Will need to work 1 weekend every 6 weeks. Will need to work 1 major and 1 minor holiday per year.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Coordinates activities to ensure appropriate staffing for patient care areas, including development of schedules, processing of approved vacation and holiday time, receiving and covering sick calls, timely cancellations of per-diem staff, and floating of staff as appropriate to current competencies and certifications. Maintains data and records and statistical reporting in the overall staffing effort.
Provides services that are accurate, reliable, courteous and timely.
Supports the efforts of all care providers to deliver quality care.
Demonstrates competence appropriate to their role and function.
Demonstrates understanding of all professional and regulatory standards.
Collaborates with colleagues to provide sound decision-making.
Communicates effectively with all customers and colleagues to meet organizational goals.
Maintains current knowledge, skills and competencies through involvement in professional continuing education activities.
Uses resources efficiently.
Fosters involvement in performance improvement activities to promote continuous improvement in care delivery.
Demonstrates assimilation of core organizational values within own performance.
Prioritizes work and provides prompt and efficient service. Maintains a high level of quality.
Participates in departmental and hospital performance improvement activities.
Participates in staff in-service and education of newly implemented processes, spreadsheets and computer systems.
Communicates effectively with all levels and ages of staff. Fosters the development of teamwork within the department while meeting the needs of the department being served.
Handles telephone calls; exercises judgment as to the urgency or other nature of the calls; directs calls to appropriate personnel.
Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
Utilizes proper judgment in decision-making.
Demonstrates a positive a positive image.
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
High School or equivalent
Post high school vocational/specialized training
Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
Three years related experience preferably within a medical and/or research environment
