The successful candidate:
Operates all routine Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography equipment in a safe and proficient manner. Abides by and enforces all JCAHO, federal, state and local regulatory laws, standards and protocols and policies and performs these responsibilities in an ethical manner consistent with the organization's values. Under the direction of a Nuclear Medicine physician, performs high quality radionuclide imaging and non-imaging studies, including the administration of radiopharmaceuticals, the operation of instruments, the application of various imaging techniques and the positioning of patients to present the maximum amount of diagnostic information. Handles multiple room assignments and all different types of exams on a daily basis. Participates in performance improvement initiatives and assists with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department. Position may require cross training in additional modalities as directed by the Director of Radiation/Imaging Services. Shares responsibility for the maintenance of efficient scheduling, patient flow and quality assurance, as well as awareness of fiscal soundness within the division.
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an AMA approved school and registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Nuclear Medicine, ARRT (N), or a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT),
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Two years experience after graduation in a major hospital setting required
