We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Associate II to join our dynamic team focused on cancer research. The successful candidate will contribute to studies investigating molecular mechanisms of ovarian tumor progression and therapeutic response using a variety of cell culture and molecular biology techniques. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on research experience in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
As a successful candidate, you will:
Process cancer patient specimens (blood, urine, and saliva) for approximately three times a week.
Perform and maintain mammalian cell culture, including passaging, transfection, and cell-based assays.
Conduct molecular biology experiments such as DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, ELISA, and Western blotting.
Participate in the design and execution of experiments, and analyze and interpret the results.
Maintain accurate and detailed experimental records.
Contribute to lab organization, reagent preparation, and inventory management.
Participate in regular team meetings and present data when appropriate.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
Two years related research/ laboratory experience with a Bachelor’s degree or one year related research/ laboratory experience with a Master’s degree.
Preferred qualifications:
Prior hands-on experience with cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques (academic or internship experience are preferred).
Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
Highly motivated, dependable, and eager to learn new techniques and concepts.
Desire and/or ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a research team.
